Palm Oil Mill
Palm oil is a critical part of the global food oil market. Currently, it occupies over 30% of the total content of consumed oil around the world. Many palm oil factories are distributed in Malaysia, Indonesia, and some African countries. A common palm oil-pressing factory can discharge approximately 1,000 tons of oil wastewater every day, which may result in an incredibly polluted environment. Considering the properties and treatment processes, the sewage in palm oil factories is quite similar to domestic wastewater.
With the adoption of the oil removal-air flotation-AF-SBR combined process, a large-scale palm oil refinery in Malaysia can handle up to 1,080m3 of sewage at the point of peak production every day. The system may produce significant sludge and some grease, so the strippability of the filter cloth is highly demanded. Moreover, the mud cake after dehydration features high organic content that can then be used as an organic fertilizer. Therefore, the water content rate in mud cake is strictly controlled.
The heavy duty type 3-belt filter press developed by HaiBar is the result of the successful experience of cooperating with numerous large-sized palm oil factories. This machine can provide much longer filter-press process and higher extrusion force than a common belt press. Simultaneously, it adopts the filter cloth imported from Germany, featuring extremely good glossiness and air permeability. Then, the outstanding strippability of the filter cloth can be guaranteed. Due to the above-mentioned two factors, dry mud cakes can be obtained even if the sludge contains a small amount of grease.
This machine is highly suitable for wastewater treatment in palm oil mills. It has been put into operation in multiple large-sized palm film factories. The filter press is provided with low operating cost, great treating capacity, smooth operation, as well as low water content of filter cake. Therefore, it has been highly appreciated by our customers.
