Coal washing methods are divided into wet type and dry type processes. The coal-washing wastewater is the effluent discharged in the wet type coal washing process. During this process, water consumption required by each ton of coal ranges from 2m3 to 8m3.
The wastewater produced during this process is likely to remain opaque even if left to stand for several months. A large amount of coal-washing wastewater is discharged without reaching the standard, which results in water pollution, river-channel blockage, and all around ecological damage.
HaiBar Belt Filter Press
By cooperating with multiple large-sized coal plants, HaiBar has introduced a belt filter press for researching the engineering application of both coal-washing wastewater and slime dehydration. The result shows that the belt filter press for slime dehydration is characterized by state-of-the-art technology, great processing capacity, limpid filtrate, low water content of filter cake, and the closed loop water system for coal washing, among others.
A coal plant in Anhui Province puts to use the “cyclone-slime sedimentation tank-filter press” treatment process. As a result, the sludge produced contains some hard solid particles, which may easily abrade the filter cloth. Considering this sludge characteristic, our company selects the superior-quality and wear-resistant filter cloth. Many manufacturers purchased our product to replace the original chamber filter press or plate-and-frame filter press, after visiting our equipment operation site.

2. In July, 2008, Huainan Xieqiao Coal Company in Anhui Province purchased two HTB-1500L series belt filter presses.
3. In July, 2011, Hangzhou Environmental Protection Academy of China Coal Science Research Institute ordered one HTBH-1000 series belt filter press.
4. In February, 2013, one HTE3-1500 series belt filter press was exported to Turkey.
